Question to anyone who has been to Las Vegas...Is this price reasonable

Question to anyone who has been to Las Vegas...Is this price reasonable?
A roundtrip flight from Nashville, TN to Vegas and 3 nights at the Riviera hotel for 2 adults= $806.00 is that a good deal? How much spending money should we take? We don't gamble much, but we do want to hit the bars every night we are there.

not sure about the airfare portion, but any more than $30 per night for the Riv is too much, the place is a dump! You should be able to get good deals at all the nice hotels these days.

so its 403 a piece for airline and 3 nights. I don't know how much lower you think the price can go. Bring what you can afford. there are all sorts of things you can see at any price range. they have discount ticket places. and just walking around is fun.

I really am not sure if that is a good deal or not. I paid $400/per person to go and that was for a 5 night stay in the New York New York Hotel and round trip airfare from Milwaukee, WI. Of course that was 5 years ago so the rates have probably gone up a lot since then(I went in January). I also may have gone during their "off season" as well, being after any holiday and during cooler weather too. We had temps between 70 and 75 in the middle of January so for me that was warm when I am used to freezing cold weather for that time of year. As for how much to bring, if you aren't a big gambler, then just bring what you can afford, maybe a few hundred dollars. There is so much to do that doesn't cost a lot of money. Each hotel on the strip has some kind of free show each night all night long that is really neat to see. Just going to the different hotels to "check" them out is pretty fun too. Definitely check out the light show on Freemont Street. It runs nightly every hour on the hour. It is really cool and is also FREE! There is so much a person can do in Vegas that doesnt involve gambling that is very reasonable so really just bring what you can afford.

That is a little too much for staying at Riviera. We recently paid $600 for a round trip from Indianapolis and 4 nights at Excalibur. When is your trip? Southwest has fares out of Nashville for around $159 each way per person- so I might see why your trip is so high. 2 tickets at that price would be $680 by itself, and then add another $40/night for a hotel and that would be $800. It really depends on your dates, but it looks like Continental Airlines is cheaper than Southwest in this case. They have round trips around $300 each- which would bring your total down to $730. http://www.sidestep.com/s/flights.jsp?searchid=davQ4vzHuq1NRCYKxvgzRQ&completed=true (I just put in random dates). All in all, you didn't really get that bad of a deal- I like to try to stay within $800 for the air and hotel. For 4 days in Vegas, I would budget about $50/day each for gambling since you said you don't gamble much. But since you say you want to hit the bars all three nights, drinks at bars can get very expensive. I would bring at least $100 to spend per day just on drinks. Food- $50/day each= $400 Gambling- $50/day each= $400 Drinks- $100/night= $300 Entertainment- $100/day= $400 So I would try to bring $1500

The riviera is not a good hotel to stay in. If you are looking to go this year still, you should be able to get deals at much nicer hotels. Try to stay more on the strip if you want a nicer room. Excaliber should be pretty cheap right now Planet HolleyWood Should be pretty reasonable Tropicana Luxor New York New York

I always check the individual airlines and hotels web sites for pricing, then compare their prices to the travel aggregators like Travelocity and Expedia. Usually it's less expensive to buy your airfare directly from the airline web site, and to book the hotel room directly from the hotel's web site reservation page. You also have more flexibility in choosing your flight times that way.

most of that price is probably the airfare... I always try to book my flights on Tues or Wed, those are the two cheapest days to fly... try that if u can.

If your hitting the bars every night your going to need quite a bit probably $1200-$1500. check these for specials and other things to do

The price is reasonable. I fly in from a major hub (Chicago) and pay about the same. As a rule in addition to transportation and hotel rooms, we take a days pay for each day we are there. But we never go above that. No matter what! That seems to wok out well.

pretty reasonable for 2 of us staying one week at bally's air and hotel cost2 of us 744 each to fly from duluth minn to vegas on allegaint air..eating at buffets is cheaper than cafe food in the hotels and the variety is better...drinks are about 4.50 each and higher...don't drink beer so i couldn't tell you about that and things change every year. have fun
